Sometimes someone else can say a word
that spills inside your gut
as if your own eulogy melts
and you live inside your heart
dropping and dropping
so close to yourself that you hear
your saliva speak
your skin is warmer
and your arm hairs hug
in a language you have never heart
as your spine reaches higher
and the love of your birthright
holds you in a perfect
calm the universe rarely offers
