Sometimes someone else can say a word

that spills inside your gut

as if your own eulogy melts

and you live inside your heart

dropping and dropping

so close to yourself that you hear

your saliva speak

your skin is warmer

and your arm hairs hug

in a language you have never heart

as your spine reaches higher

and the love of your birthright

holds you in a perfect

calm the universe rarely offers
